DESCRIPTION:
Ansonia Clock Co., C.1910, Royal Bonn, "LA CERDA" porcelain china cased clock, with 8-day, gong strike mov't with open escapement on porcelain dial, with a hand painted portrait of a lady setting in a garden looking in her hand mirror.
CONDITION:
note there is a hairline surface crack at the base of the top crest; it does NOT go all the way through, and the case is otherwise complete and sound with no cracks nor chips. The hairline is only seen on close inspection. Note this clock has the large round French style movement with rack strike and side straps/rear bezel. Although there may be a signature in the grassy area, it is not obvious. Impressive. Ht 15"
